Azam Khan (Bengali: আজম খান (full name Mahbubul Haque Khan, February 28, 1950-June 5, 2011 ) was a Bangladeshi pop singer. He was the pioneer in Bengali pop music. He founded a band called Uchcharon (Bengali: উচ্চারণ meaning "Enunciation") in the early 1970s.[1] He is honored as Guru of Pop Music in Bangladesh.[2] Khan, together with pop music contemporaries Fakir Alamgir, Pilu Momtaz, Najma Zaman and Ferdous Wahid, is credited with pioneering and popularizing Bangla pop music in the years immediately following the country's independence.[3]

Information of Brahmanbaria District


Brahmanbaria (Bengali: ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া Bramhonbaŗia) is a district in east-central Bangladesh. It is a part of the Chittagong Division. It was part of greater Comilla District until 1984. Before 1830 the Sarail Pargana was a part of Mymensingh district. The district has 4 municipalities, 39 wards, 97 mahallas, 8 upazilas, 98 union parishads, 1052 mouzas and 1329 villages.[1]
